This tool creates a simple payment record, not a legal document — local rules on receipts and tenancy records differ, so check what your state or lease requires.
If a receipt must be signed in ink by both parties to count as proof, print it and sign the paper copy — a printed receipt alone may not be enough.

Are my landlord and tenant details sent to a server?

No. The receipt is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your names, address and payment details are never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.

How is the receipt number generated?

The receipt number is generated from the payment date (for example RR-2026-11-001) and you can edit it to match your own numbering system. Change the payment date and a fresh number is suggested, unless you have already typed your own.

How do I save the receipt as a PDF?

Use your browser's print dialog and choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. The print view contains only the receipt itself, so the PDF is a clean, single-page document.
