JSON to CSV Converter

Turn a JSON array of objects into a clean CSV file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

100% private. Your JSON is converted entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.

Convert JSON to CSV

Paste a JSON array of objects. Columns are the union of all keys; nested values are kept as compact JSON inside the cell.

When NOT to use JSON to CSV Converter

  • Deeply nested or irregular JSON (arrays of arrays, mixed primitives and objects) will produce a flattened approximation — reshape the data first if you need a precise table.
  • It converts in the browser, so extremely large JSON files (tens of MB) may be slow or hit memory limits — use a command-line tool like jq for those.

Questions people ask

Is my input sent to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you paste is uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.

What JSON shape does it accept?

An array of objects works best — each object becomes a row and the union of all keys becomes the columns. A single object is treated as a one-row table, and missing keys become empty cells.

How are nested objects and arrays handled?

They are written into the cell as compact JSON text, so no data is lost. Cells containing commas, quotes, or line breaks are automatically quoted per the CSV standard.
