When NOT to use Coin Flipper
- A coin flip is a tie-breaker, not a decision method — anything with real consequences deserves more thought than 50/50.
- Official coin tosses (sports, ceremonies) follow their own rules; this is an everyday virtual equivalent.
Questions people ask
How random is it, really?
It uses your browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling and unbiased shuffling — the same quality of randomness used by security software, not the predictable Math.random().
What do the streaks show?
The current run of identical results (for example 'Heads ×4 in a row') and the longest streak of the session so far.
How does best-of mode work?
Choose best of 3, 5, or 7 and the flipper tracks the score until one side clinches the series.
