Remove line breaks
Text copied from a PDF or email often breaks every line. Paste it below and join the wrapped lines back into clean paragraphs.
Cleaned text
Your text without line breaks will appear here.
When NOT to use Remove Line Breaks
- It cannot tell a wrapped line from an intentional one — lists, addresses, poems, and code will be joined too unless you keep paragraph breaks and check the result.
- Hyphenated words split across lines in a PDF (exam- ple) are joined with the hyphen kept; you may need a quick find-and-replace pass for those.
Questions people ask
Is my text sent to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text is never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.
What does 'Keep paragraph breaks' do?
Single line breaks (wrapped lines) are replaced with a space, while blank-line paragraph breaks are preserved — so your paragraphs stay separate but each one becomes a single line.
Why does text copied from PDFs have breaks everywhere?
PDFs store text visually, line by line. Copying gives you those visual line breaks even where the sentence continues — this tool joins them back together.
