01 / Coverage choice
Compare protection and planning cost
How the comparison works
Liability coverage pays for covered injuries or property damage you cause to others, while collision and comprehensive coverage address different risks to your own vehicle. This tool compares your entered liability cost with an entered full-coverage add-on estimate and shows the vehicle-value exposure that remains if you carry liability-focused coverage.
Collision and comprehensive deductibles are shown because a lower deductible usually means more premium and a higher deductible usually means more out-of-pocket exposure after a covered loss. The calculator does not estimate claim probability, insurer underwriting, or depreciation.
Questions people ask
Does full coverage protect every dollar of my vehicle value?
No. Coverage terms, deductibles, exclusions, limits, depreciation, and policy conditions apply. A lender may also have separate requirements.
Should I choose the cheapest deductible?
Not automatically. Compare the premium difference with the amount you could reasonably pay after a covered loss.
